Indian women are considered one of the most beautiful girls in the world. Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.Many of Indians also feel there are more beautiful women other than India.With great fashion designers,hair stylist,beauiticians,coaching classes for voice modulation and walking on ramp,presenting oneself with dignity,there are so many unsung people that go into the making of beauty queens of India.But apart from Sushmita Sen,Lara Dutta,and Aishwaraya Rai,priyanka Chopra,Yuktha Mukhi who made it in various international beauty contest,the others are not able to reach the top.
One of the main reasons that Indian women score over other competitors is their command over language especially English.When a question is asked to present it with immaculate precision one must need command over english.Here Indian women score over the rest as they smile and reply with an accent.No translators needed for the question.This is very important because one can express oneself in the language in which they are comfortable with.So if the girl from Spain needs the question to be translated and she replies in spanish but even though she emotes beautifully the emotional part rather fail to impress because the judges must also have the answer translated and then decide. Another factor is the presence of mind. Indians grasp the situation very well and answer the tricky questions with aplomb.The other important factor is the designer dresses which the beautiful women wears does make an impact.What with Manish Malhotra,Ritu Beri and other famous dress designers helping the Indian beauty to catch the eyes of the judges and the audience. I do not think women from India are any beautiful than any other women in the world. For instance look at the women they send to the Miss Universe pageants: why do all of them "look white"? Why do all of them have cosmetic surgery enhancements? Beauty is what you are born naturally with. Indians have a complex issue concerning skin tone. If Indian women are so beautiful then how come the only ones they show in Bollywood are the ones who are half white? You European/Indian women are the most beautiful? As far as grace is concerned, any person who is cultured and well mannered can be beautiful.

No, I do not think Indian women are no better than any others. For instance you look at any average Russian woman, Sudanese, or Brazilian woman makes those "bollywood fakes" look like cosmetic surgery duos.

I think Indians need to come off the bull sh*t with their fake "bollywood actresses". Show some real Indian women on the screen and maybe you could consider a real beauty contest. Indian women as mean pure Indian NOT half European, dyed hair, and blue contact lenses.

I agree with previous comments that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and 'there are lots of beautiful women world-wide' Aishwarya Rai is beautiful, looked better when she won miss world, now she looks like she's had cosmetic surgery, her chin is ... very very thin, the poorer females are beautiful at a young age, but decrease is visual value at around 30 years of age, better off females can afford the luxuries to last a while longer - look at Ash!!!

the reason is the geographical position and the indian genes. first of all india stands out by the skin color. on the whole world the skin color is either too white or too black,but indian skin is something which is neither too white not too black. and the beauty what mother nature has given is a golden color.be it either girls or boys,they get a golder color,the color of a well grown wheat.indian climatic condition is a combination of heat and cold which plays an imp factor in skin color. the democratic form of government , the english speaking talent makes people to communicate well in english and to keep themselves updated in almost all the world affairs. this makes the people of india to be smarter than any other people in the world. the tradition of india like using bindhis,sarees,the culture makes the world to turn towards india and that makes a more curiousity towards indian girls world wide

..I dont agree. Its just that perhaps Indians are very lucky that they have Aishwarya Rai. The advertisement world goes gaga over her. Such that she is seen in international ads like L'Oreal. But after Aishwarya Rai, I dont think or be difficult for India to beat or penetrate this level. Politics too play an important role ...and u have to be also really extraordinarily beautiful for this. She is one of the most beautiful in the world...and the West recognizes this fact. Unless India again will produce such kind of a beauty and talent..I dont think it will again grace international level. (Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Paris Match, L'Oreal, People, Vibe, Entertainment Weekly..) Notice, these are international powerhouse magazines but its only Ash Rai..where are the others? although I have to admit there are so many beauty queens in India...but its just Aishwarya Rai..Im Asian American..and in my opinion it boils down to the person involved.

indian girls are very beautiful indeed so are the chineese notice that both have darker skin and dark hair so yes evrione likes to have a tan but pale skin can look shokingly stunning to also look at the english supermodels most of them have blond hair!

the americans have introduced a plus size modelling and all the girls in the fashion books look stunning even though they are plus sizes

I've seen absolutely beautiful ,drop dead gorgeous women from India.They are very exotic looking.But I've seen the same from other countries,also.Take a look in an American fashion magazine like "glamour "and look at the model's faces on the advertisements.Me-I'm incredibly average!
