The song you are referring to is Shake, Rattle & Roll. This was originally penned by Jesse Stone, who went by the name Charles E. Calhoun. The first version was recorded by R&B pioneer Big Joe Turner in 1954. But you are probably more familiar with the more popular version recorded by Bill Haley and the Comets shortly thereafter. A less noteable version was later recorded by the King of Rock n' Roll, Elvis Presley; and he sang it during his first national television appearance.
The press tried to concoct a story of usery and oppression by Bill Haley towards Big Joe, by taking his hit to a broader audience. But I knew both men, and they were close friends. Joe and Bill played together from time to time and enhanced each other's careers, in true R&B fashion. That is a story that is seldom replayed in real life these days.

50's song...Shake, Rattle & Roll by Bill Haley & The Comets. That was a big hit, but I'm not sure if they are the original. It may have been an r&b singer, originally?

Shake Rattle And Roll
Shake Rattle & Roll
As Performed by Joe Turner
Written by Charles Calhoun
Get outta that bed, wash your face and hands
Get outta that bed, wash your face and hands
Well, you get in that kitchen, make some noise with the pots and pans
Well, you wear low dresses, the sun comes shining through
Well, you wear low dresses, the sun comes shining through
I can't believe my eyes all that mess belongs to you
I believe to my soul you're a devil in nylon hose
I believe to my soul you're a devil in nylon hose
Well, the harder I work, the faster my money goes
I said, shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Well, you won't do right to save your doggone soul
I'm like a one-eyed cat peeping in a seafood store
I'm like a one-eyed cat peeping in a seafood store
Well, I can look at you and tell you ain't no child no more
Ah, shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Well, you won't do right to save your doggone soul
I said, over the hill and way down underneath
I said, over the hill and way down underneath
You make me roll my eyes, Baby, make me grit my teeth
I said, shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Well, you won't do right to save your doggone soul

To save your doggone soul
Play it again!
I went over the hill, way down underneath

You make me roll my eyes
And then you make me grit my teeth
Well I said shake, rattle and roll
I said shake rattle and roll
I said shake, rattle and roll

Well you won’t do right
To save your doggone soul
