The CT showed a growth around his breast bone what does this mean ? They said that he doesn't have to go back for another 3 months.

It could be scar tissue or a calcification from the surgery. If the doctor wants to see your dad in three months, I wouldn't worry too much. On a personal note, my father had 7 artery bypass in 1992. He is doing great and still works everyday. Tell your dad to stay active, don't smoke and above all, enjoy life.

Odds on bet are it is still granulation tissue and bone callus from cracking the sternum open. They will hopefully, follow up and watch it slowly resolve, may take a year.

You husband's doctor is making good money to treat him. They should be the one you ask questions of about your husband. They should answer you in a way you can understand with patience and respect. If they don't, report them and look for anther doctor.
