Use only one antivirus (anyone you like) but don't install a second one before uninstalling the the one you used first.
Here's why: some actions of an antivirus program are "seen" by the other antivirus program as the action of a virus; as a consequence, both antiviruses will report a virus on your computer and you'll never know for shure if you really have a virus or is just the other antivirus...

It is okay to run an anti virus and a firewall by different corporations. But if you are using ZA's anti virus along with AVG's - that is a no no and may result is problems.

I don't see why this could be something to be worried about, you have a ile monitor and a antivirus working on your machine, it is not like u have 2 antiviruses. The problem with 2 antiviruses working both on your machine, is that (nobody ever explained this, they just say it is not wise to run 2 antivirus softwares), each antivirus uses DLL from Windows, the same DLLs, so they get on each others feet, and after a while eithrt the system crashes, either the system will run perfectly, because both antiviruses are desingaged, they don't work.

I do. AVG is an anti virus Zone Alarm is a firewall. I know sometimes 2 different anti virus softwares don't get on. e.g Norton and AVG

You should run both for added protection; but please never spout the mantra that avg is the best antivirus software and zonealarm is the best firewall, unless you are being malicious or ironic.
