Sorry i'm not a guy but I have some advice. I'm just starting high school. And I'm constantly told be nice to everyone but don't trust everyone. Don't be mean at all. And some people may not like you because your so nice. But if they can't deal with your being nice to everyone. Then maybe they shouldn't be your friend.
And be smart enough to know when someones using you. Don't get a girl friend just yet. You need to consentrate on your schoolwork.

And as far as school work goes. It's easy nothings changed since first grade. It's the same work, it just gets a little harder every year because they add on information. And algebra is very easy if you pay attention.

Middle school is the hardest only because thats when everyone is unsure of everything. So they take it out on everyone else. I went through it. Everyone picked on me. Well I got news it's going to happen whether you like it or not. Deal with it. I was considered the freak that no one wanted to hangout with.Only because I was nice. But guess what! Everyone knows who I am. I'm popular in my own way . You don't need to be apart of the popular group to be popular.

Consider yourself lucky if you leave high school with one good friend because most people don't. And that friend will be with you for the rest of your life.

Treat it like a jungle. Keep your mouth shut and move quietly for the first four or five weeks, the way you'd sneak around in an unfamiliar place teeming with danger. Don't brag to your friends, don't raise your hand every time the teacher asks a question.

It is a lot better to be unknown and finish first in the 440, than to tell all your friends you are the fastest boy in the county, then finish 10th. It is better the have the teacher be surprised at your "A" on an algebra test than for you to raise your hand every time and have the other kids hate you. They will think you are showing off.

Thing number one through 17 on all of your classmate's minds will be sex, because they are at that age. Don't brag about that, either. Look stuff up on Wikipedia if you have questions - don't ask someone at recess. Even if he doesn't know the answer he'll laugh at you for not knowing.

Don't try to be cool; you either are or you are not. People who are true to themselves, be they violinists, math whizzes, athletes or 7-11 clerks, are cool.

The girls in your class who have larger than normal busts - for 7th graders - are going to get tired of all the attention they get. Look beyond boobs.

Middle school is a rough time for everyone. If you're "popular," don't pick on kids who are less "popular." If you're not "popular," try making friends with other "unpopular" kids instead of finding someone less "popular" than yourself to pick on. You may then discover that you've got a huge group of friends and tons of people who like you, which means that you're actually popular, instead of "popular."

If you don't know what your sexuality is, you'll probably find yourself getting some pretty strong hints. If you already know, then you're probably at the stage of getting crushes. I promise you, you are not ready to date. What can you afford to do, anyway? Just enjoy going out with groups of friends, and maybe "hang out" with someone you might have a romantic interest with. If you can have nice conversations with him or her at neutral locations, maybe you'll be ready to date him or her in a couple of years.

Aside from that, just grin and bear it while you wait for high school, which is in all ways superior to middle school.

Grade school is nothing but a waste of time, it does nothing to prepare students for the next level.

Study your books, not girls. Girls will get you in trouble.
Wait until high school (when you can drive) for the girls.
