Is the area around the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in Southeast Canda too hot?

Is the area around the Gulf of Alaska in Northwest United States (Alaska) too hot?

Is the area around the Gulf of Maine in Northeast United States and Southeast Canada too hot?

Is the area around the Gulf of Finland in Finland, Estonia, and Northwest Russia too hot?

All those places are rather cool...

But since you apparently meant those around the Persian Gulf--The Middle East, in other words...

They're hot because they're in the tropics and get more direct rays from the sun than areas closer to the poles. What really makes them desert nations, though, is because they are in the dry latitudes where high pressure systems tend to dominate, pushing air flow and moisture away from them normally. Why THAT occurs would take too much time to explain. Suffice it to say, they are in the part of the earth where this type of climate is prevalent.

There hot because there close to the equator.
