That's a very amusing question, and certainly you have related the cricketers and Bollywood actors very sensibly. MS Dhoni - I would rather be saying successful than be saying popular(although I am not contradicting your point). We know both have talent, and we know both have an unconventional way of getting success. That's the way they are. Gambhir - That's another interesting relation. They showed their talents once, then quite failed to keep up. Sehwag - Every style has its end, doesn't it? Whether it comes to be dragging one type of comedy over and over, or hitting the ball straight to third man over and over. I would interchange the former two personalities. Rahul Dravid has got one of the best technique in the world, which rarely fails him. Aamir Khan has a similar style. Tendulkar has a gift, but can go out of form sometimes. So does SRK! I would compare Rohit Sharma with R Madhavan. They both have gifts, and they even have got opportunities, and they have even done well in the opportunities. But they can't be consistent. Always try too hard. I have another correlation in my mind, but with a singer. Zaheer Khan - Shaan. The lost talents.

Unless you know the actors personally, how can you know. You only know their public persona. That doesn't tell you anything about what they are really like. I think it's that obsession with 'knowing' actors as people that is feeding the celebrity frenzy in hollywood and it's not doing anyone a favor. Actors should be judged on their acting and nothing else.

We do have...but what we lack nowadays is good filmmakers. They made superb movies and moulded the raw talent. With the right kind of get up , make up , good story, good direction a lot of hidden talent can be brought to the fore.

They have done that to Saif Ali Khan. In the beginning stages of his career, I used to wonder whether he will make it in the film industry at all. (Unlike Hrithik roshan who was an instant hit) So it all depends on the film makers. Sadly film makers (?) like karan johar/Yashraj films go for a totally westernised look which sometimes is irritating. Remember what Yash Chopra did to Sridevi in Chandini and Lamhe?
