female fighters will be ok...angel fish will nibble the fins of a male...you can keep male fighters with other fish...although they will pick fights with other colourful fish with big fins....do not get tiger barbs they will worry and bully everything in the tank....ive kept a male fighter with platys, tetras and mollies without any problem

you may find that with a tank that size the angel fish will start attacking everything when they get bigger, most are very territorial and will fight each other and most other fish too. you have two choices,
get rid of the angels and have a commnity tank (friendly fish)
or keep them, get rid of the others and have a Non Community (angels, barbs, any fish that is a bit iffy, but you will have to decide which type and ask at the shop which will live with what)

you may be lucky and have some placid angels which live quite happily with the others for years and the others are happy as they will not challeneg them, but then some angles get very large!

if you didnt have the angels i would say add colour with some Guppies, they are hardy, easy to breed and lovely to look at. also some cardinal tetras or neons, cardinals seem to hardier than the neons i have found and add gorgeous colour as they scholl together.

Holy crap, alot of ignorant wrong ansers.
Anglefish are cichlids and can be nasty, they are the natural predators of neon tetras and other small fish like neons. A male betta will be nipped at and stressed out by the anglefish. I wouldnt add anymore fish in that tank. It will be too small for your anglefish alone.
To answer your question, 1 or 3 female bettas should be alright since they lack the long fins that other fish find irrisistable to bite. Never get only 2 female bettas, one becomes dominant and will kill the other.

Angel fish are very nippy fish I would not but a betta in the tank with them. If the angel fish were not in the tank it would be ok for a betta. Cories might be ok I don't think that the other fish will harp them. I enjoy the cories that I have they swim all over the place and up and down the glass of my tank.

Bettas can do beautifully in community tanks and are frequently housed with other species of fish. I agree, however, that angels are too aggressive to be kept safely with a male betta. Bettas commonly do well with peaceful fish like corys, otos, apple snails and other non-nippy fish.

Not a good idea. Angel fish are semi-aggressive fish, and I believe bettas usually like to swim alone.

The most common no nos in aquariums are mixing fighter with angel fish, mixing 2 male fighters, angel fish and red tail shark and fish that give off electrical currents such as ghost knifes and elephant nose.

no you can't keep tem together bettas are fin nippers and will nip the fins of the angel fish and also other fish will nip the fins of the betta its best to keep bettas on there own they are more happy or you could keep then with tetra for fish of that size but some male bettas will also eat smaller fish.

Betta's are killers, by instinct only. That's why they live alone. Most Betta's I have seen are in small glass containers since they don't need much room to move around. With nothing to kill they mainly float in the same spot. Request information from your local pet store or fish shop.

No. I had a beta and had to keep him in a seperate tank. Betas will either kill or stress a fish out. Once a fish is stressed out they will die also.

Do not put a rainbow shark with fish either. They stressed all my fish out and died.

You can get tiger barbs. They are friendly.
