It's known by two names. In the past, it was called "Ten Little Indians," but today it's better known by the title "And Then There Were None."
Either way, it's a great mystery story. Whatever you do, don't look at the last page before you've read the whole thing or you'll miss out on the big twist ending. There's a major spoiler on the last page.

The current title for that book is "And Then There Were None", though it has gone through different titles as politically correct made its way in the English language. The Original title was "Ten Little N*ggers" (without the asterisk, of course) and you can see why there'd be a problem with that. Then they changed it to "Ten Little Indians", but again, not exactly right. Current title fits just as well for the story, without any racial comment on it.
It's a wonderful book, one of my favorites by Agatha Christie. Hope you enjoy it!

The current title is "And Then There Were None." However, it was originally published as "Ten Little (N-words)." This, of course, became quite offensive as time passed and use of the slur became unacceptable, so the title was changed to "Ten Little Indians." This, too, was eventually recognized as offensive. The work has also been adapted into a play and a movie.

First the book was called 'Ten Little Ni-g-rs', now as you know it has racial connotations. On the cover it had the pictures of ten golliwogs (black stuffed dolls ) on the mantlepiece. In the movie version they played the song Ten Little Injun Boys, now that too is a no no. So then the later versions changed the name to 'And Then there Were None.' The one I read was called Ten Little Ni-g-rs. Its a good book.

I have already read more than twenty of her novels . "There Were None" or "13 niger children" was one of the best criminals without a detective . first let me say the weakest : "murder in priest house"(Mrs Marple) .it longs 2 month for me to finish the book . And the Best as far as I remeber was her last book called "curtain" , but before reading that I deeply advice you to read the book "Murder on stylus hall" first . the latter was her first novel which poirot acted and the other which published 1976 was her last novel of poirot that I guess he suicided at the end of the story . but I am telling you it is the most exciting one . From the novels I read , the poirots at least were entertaining but the marples often were boring . I hope it helps .
