The Crystal Palace was moved to Penge Place after the Great Exhibition. Most of the area now known as "Crystal Palace" was formerly Anerley (this is still the name of a nearby BR station), but it's in an area surrounded by Sydenham, West Penge and Upper Norwood too.

Confusingly, Crystal Palace FC play at Selhurst Park, which is south of South Norwood and half-way to Croydon.
