What's up with that is, if they lie about little things all the time, it's
only a matter of time before they lie about big things. If lying comes so easily, you are in for some serious problems ahead.
I have no patience for liars big or small, dump the loser bf you
get hurt!!!

i am in one right now. the ability to lie like that usually comes from a situation in ones childhood in which the person had to lie -such as abuse or molestation. these people learn to lie without even thinking about it. it just seems to come natural. they need to lie to cover things up, escape and/or control things. my girlfriend does it, as do i. i asked my doc a few years ago why i do this, and the reason is what i gave to you (i put it much simpler)

Yeah, they really wanna make u just role ur eyes @ every lil thing that comes out of their mouth. It's like being in a relationship w/a cartoon character (so unreal)

Yes & I recommend that if you're in one....get *OUT* as fast as you possibly can. That's often an overt symptom of underlying problems that can lead to abuse. At the very least, it's not good to be in a relationship with someone you cannot trust.

you know... my fiance was like that in the beggining of our relationship.... it was really irritating!!! It was never about important things always little things!! Arrgghh!! Used to make me insane! I just started calling him on it...each and everytime! i have a great memory! lol so he got tired of me saying why are you lying about that!! and telling him what it really was or what he said the first time.... he stopped doing it.... lol

It depends what you mean by little things? If you mean he doesn't tell you that a certain color doesn't suit you if you really like it, then I wouldn't say it's a big deal.
But remember, little things add up.

yes i did it was horible and when i asked him why do he lie he said he just don't want to upset me and make me angry, he didn't understand that by him lying about little things i think he's lying about everything.

YES!!!! My soon-to-be-ex-husband did that, hence the divorce. I tried to tolerate it for 10 years. What the hell was I thinking?
