I hate seeing churches spreaded all over, why can't they be zoned like strip clubs? Why should the religious right be able to control liberal minded people, but liberal minded can't control the radical religious right? I'm socially liberal and feel like a slave to the social conservatives. Zone the churches, if nothing else...TO BE FAIR. Stop shoving churches down my throat like you stop strip clubs or book stores being shoved down your throat NEOCONS!!!!

Every single thing built in this country is zoned for something, residential, commercial, schools, ect. Anything can be built as long as they get the proper permits. If you have to pass by a church on your way to a strip club, oh well. Are you angry because the sight of a church makes you feel guilty on your way to debauchery?

They are zoned.

Further this is an issue in both parties. A Democrat controlled city in Florida recently allowed a Jewish synagogue to operate in a residential zoned area but denied the expansion of a mosque that was zoned correctly.

No one controls me. Churches, strip clubs, gas stations, party stores, etc.... ALL of these are all over. So what?? And you complain about churches?? Maybe you need a church "shoved down your throat". You've no doubt had worse down there.

I am an Atheist, I can safely say that most towns throughout this fine country have zoning for their entire areas. Some of that zoning may or may not prohibit churches I dont know.

I'm a social liberal too and I'm Christian and go to church. Not all of us are trying to take over the world. You shouldn't be so angry about what other people do. It's not your problem.

It's called the Constitution. Separation of church and state. Funny, you seem so perturbed by the sight of a building who's occupants praise a higher power. My guess is deep down you know there is a god and your angry at him. Otherwise why would it trouble you so? I bet you don't get angry when you see a Taco bell pop up or a burger king.
