I would practice shooting and would look online for some sites on how to improve. Basketball reguries endurance so you may need to start to run. But mostly shooting and practice one on one with a friend if you can.

I played two positions.

I played third base when I was kid and then I pitched in college.

The best thing for position players is to establish good hand eye coordination. You can do this by playing catch by yourself. Throw a ball up against the wall and catch the rebound. Repeat this until you get faster and faster.

another good for fielding is to play with a rubber ball. Don't use a baseball. The more it bounces the better. That way when you see a heavier baseball coming at you, you'll be able to react a lot quicker than if you had been practicing with a regular baseball.

If you're and outfielder, you need to run a bit and develop good reaction so that you can tell how hard a ball was hit and where it's gonna land. I can't help you all that much because I never really played the outfield.

If you wanna pitch, you need to run alot. At least 2 miles a day. If you wanna be a starter, you need to run more than that. This will help your legs because pitchers depend highly on their legs. Even more so than their arms. Next, play catch with a buddy. Don't throw hard right away because the only thing you'll do is hurt yourself. Start of a close distance and keep moving farther away until you get to a nice long distance.

For your swing, practice of a tee or get a buddy to stand next to you a feed you the ball from the side. It doesn;t matter if you hit it hard or not. What you want to do is develop your swing so that you have a nice smooth movement as you hit the ball. Remember to keep your head down and your shoulders square. Always rotate your hips. YOu're not gonna hit the ball very hard if you just swing with your arms. You need to get your whole body involved.

Finally, the best tip anyone can ever give is to eat right, start a good weight exercise routine (only if you're 16 or older), and practice every day. Your natural talents and abilities will begin to emerge and you'll see some improvement in no time. Be careful with injuries and don't try to push yourself too much because you'll only hurt yourself. Remember that consistency is the best talent a ball player can have.

LOTS OF LUCK

Depends on what position you play.

For infield, the best drill I did as a kid was to bounce a ball off a wall next to asphalt (like a school parking lot) and field it. You get used to fielding quickly and reacting to the ball trajectory.

For outfield nothings better than fielding pop ups. If you're having trouble judging where the balls going, make sure your first steps are back. It's easier to come in than to go back for most fielders.

Hitting - have a friend toss you practice golf balls (they look like mini wiffle balls). Get on your back knee and have them stand out and toss the ball into your strike zone. Move it up down, etc. If you can hit the mini-balls the baseball is going to look huge coming in to you.

Good Luck!

Start by hitting (either off a tee, or at a batting cage) every day...100 swings a day.

Take hundreds of ground balls, pop flys, etc...

Long toss every day to improve your arm strength. Run every day to keep your conditioning up. You can also try:
