Im not exactly sure, but you should update its software anyways, and if no updates are found then your good.

One time I as much as date my iTunes and it erased all my music! I even have 30 GB of music on my iTunes...although this is all good. attempt uninstalling iTunes and then downloading it returned. The replace record you downloaded might have been corrupt.
