Last night we got my clarinet and im wondering from all u people if its hard or not because i might sell it and my flute?

It's a pretty easy instrument to begin playing. It is definitely easier than the flute because the flute requires much more precise breath control. Make sure you start playing with a pretty soft reed, 2 or 2.5 strength. Did they provide reeds when you bought the clarinet? If not, just go to a local music store and tell them you just started playing and need a good reed, not too hard. VanDoren makes a good commercial reed.
Other than that, you need a method book to practice with, assuming you already know how to read music. I recommend something with simple songs that you are already familiar with because it makes practicing more fun.
You might be a little squeaky at first but if you practice it is really a fairly easy instrument.

I play the violin, flute and clarinet at a pro level. For me, starting the clarinet was very easy because I already played the violin. It is an easy instrument, the flute is harder, requires a lot of breath. Honestly, the clarinet is easy. I could play Mozart full symphonies in a week!

See..I TRIED the flute first too! THEN the clarinet...it's alot of practice...I found other interests and quickly they went back...It's not hard if you REALLY apply yourself...

I played it in my school for a week and then i quit becuase it takes a lot of breath and practice but you just have to be really into it to play.
but I wouldn't quit because you might end up liking it.

why sell it?? try it i think that is one of the easiest instruments. are you playing in a school band?? because in my middle school band most people play the clarinet (i dont) give it a try and dont give up!
