I am looking at some the responses and they are typical, get a job and why am I playing the black race card? Well last I checked I am black and my fellow black individuals seem to feel the same way....
Black have been persecuted by this country for hundreds of years, and never accepted as equals. I don't even know where my ancestors are from . I have watched my parents and grandparents mistreated. And I watch today with my own children how they and myself are mistreated. Inner city schools systems across america are poor and don't even provide the neccessary essentials.
Kanya West was right "George Bush doesn't care about black people"
I think he should have added " White America" also............................Remember this! " none of you can say anything about
us blacks until you live in our shoes!

I think we're pretty F U C K I N tired of giving all the minorities of this nation everything for free to "make up" for the past. Maybe if you shut the F U C K up and got a job on your own merit... you wouldn't be treated that way.

I've got two of your kind right now working for the fed govt. Given their jobs BECAUSE they are black... neither is qualified for the position and neither of them will stay after college... they're just nursing the govt for a paycheck during college.... whereas there could be someone that really wants the job so they can come on full time after college... maybe even a black man, wow!

This country USED to be about the needs of the many outweighing the needs of the few... now we have to give the blacks, women, hispanics and every other f u c k i n g minority group BACKPAY!

If you don't think this hurts the entire country, you're wrong! And THAT'S why minorities are still mistreated in this country (not just the blacks crybaby)... they want it all for free without earning it! It's like respect... you don't demand it, you earn it. But then you probably wouldn't know what that means do ya?

It has absolutely nothing to do with white . You know something if you look at statistics, nowadays it seems that any color but white gets the handouts from the government. If you go to get assistance from agencies they are more apt to help you if your skin isn't white. White america.. look at our elderly, look at how they suffer. Look at how many of them can't afford their prescriptions that they need just to survive, let alone a home, hope they all own their homes or that's another debt for them to incur. As far as the blacks, people are so sick of hearing about them being mistreated. Now I agree some are treated unfairly, but look at how a lot of them live, what they choose to do with their lives. It's like that though in all ethnic backgrounds. All have their good and their bad. First step is for them to help themselves.

Hey, why are you limiting yourself to skin color ? This same question can be used in gender or nationality. The bottom line isn't with ' white america ' or ' Americans ', but within the nature of people. People fear that what is different from themselves. Coupled with the inability to accept responsibility for past actions and mistakes. The idea is if we ignore it long enough, people ( the disenfranchised ) with either go away or realize that we are ignoring them or will die out in the generational passing. Sad but true. The only thing that you can change is yourself. Look to yourself before you start demanding change in others. Besides, making those demands won't change anything. Now, if you were to enlighten them that they can only change themselves to change their own circumstances.....

Don't Blacks mistreat each other MORE? I think that there is more black on black crime, and the "white" dominated law enforcement agencies try to help the Vitim's, and catch the perpetrators of the crime. So I really don't think "white America" are the ones that ignore the blacks you speak of. It would be so nice if we ALL could just get along and only see good or bad with no color involved.

I think it really has more to do with money. I don't think blacks in general are mistreated...I think poor people are forgotten. I don't think it is just the poor....the middle class is also overlooked. The US is messed up in so many ways now. Morally it is declining rapidly and greed and selfishness is the norm. Wow...now I'm bummed out.

I don't ignore it. I fully recognize it and have even put myself in harms way in individual curcumstances to fight against it. But why do people like you persist to perpetuate the sterotype that there is a "White America" and a "Black America" with nothing in between. It is people like you, regardless of color, with this attitude, that continue to place a wedge between esthetic differences in people. You should be asking yourself what YOU "persist to ignore" or contine to perpetuate. I've been in jail for my beliefs. I've marched with the wife of Dr king for equal rights. What are you doing to make Ameruica better?

The Buddhist perspective on karma isn't very different than that of Hindus. Every action you take will have a repercussion in the future, and you have to live with the consequences of your actions. Most Buddhists believe in reincarnation, and their goal is to transcend constant birth and rebirth to achieve nirvana, similar to the Hindu moksha.

Buddhism also places importance on the intent of one's actions. For example, if you accidentally step on a bug and kill it, you won't create bad karma. But if you purposefully kill it, you create bad karma. Likewise, if your actions unintentionally benefit others, you do not create good karma. Only when you mindfully do good, do you create good karma.
