Not just the seat but the lid as well... I don't know ANYONE that puts the toilet lid down...

I do. I know I am a woman and all that, but I picked up a bit of a thing about it from a TV program.
It said that when you flush the toilet all the particals spray up in the air and we breath them in, so now not only do I put the actual lid down, but I have to do it before I flush, wait till i hear the noise finish and just check all is well, before putting the lid down again!
I know - its just one of those things I cant get out of my head!!
And no, I dont suffer from any compulsive obsessive behaviours or anything else. My ex laughs about it!

Nope no one puts the lid down here, they put the seat down, if i put the lid down then that would suck in the middle of the night when i get up to go, cause i dont turn on the lights i just sit, lol.

My whole family, because otherwise my cat drinks out of the toilet, and leaves wet litter prints on the seat. Yuck.

well if you are a guy which most of them are will leave it up but if you are in a place where there are females about it would be nice to just put it down it is the polite way to do if you can lifted it up then you can put it down again it takes the same time either way hope your parents don't know you leave it up

I DO the answer why is when you flush the germs meaning you wee and poos comes flying out very fast only in small parts mind but still wee and poo so say you have your bath room door open its going to go around you flat or house my loo is next my kitchen and between me and you i don't Fancy poo and wee flying around my kitchen

OMG..... surely you have to put the lid down when you flush or poo particles get sprayed all over the bathroom.....ewe...on towels, toothbrushes........
You now know 1 person who insists that it is a definite house rule!!!!
Start doing it from now and stop eating your own poo......ewe
