Believe it or not, I once saw a tip in a magazine to hook a large bra over a couple of bamboo canes, and use them to support melons growing on the vine. Worth a try.

Do you let them grow "free range" What size net do you wear,I mean use?If you want them to stay plump and orb,I would use support through thier entire life cycle.Does'nt the poles scare your melons?I say let them go free!! enjoy the moment!.Who cares how big they get.Thier yours!

Admirable,I noticed your melons right away!
leave them as they are, too much support might stifle them, let them get plenty of air and a little sun wont do them any harm either.
Personally I like them left out, so access is easier and any problems can be handled right away.
