realistically, schooling doen't really help with real life. i really don't have any evidence to give, except for personal experience, but when teachers tell you about math, it doesn't really help the student in terms of social or emotional aspects. in a way, it helps prepare the student because there is knowledge handed down (which you definitely need to get a nice job), but this knowledge is not the profound one. if there is a good counselor in the school (although i dioubt if you'd approach one), or there is a subject about LIFE, then theoretically, school can help a person prepare for his future. however, with the current state of education, the only thing that schooling can do is to ensure we get a nice, spiffy diploma.

No, very few schools do not make a course on personal finance or personal accounting mandatory. Most high school students don't even know how to balance a checkbook.
If you want actual studies as evidence, do your own research.

yes even though it maynot seem much they actually give the foundation because of which you can later say "I know all abot this why are they teaching this all over again"
