this girl at my high school was like my best friend in 8th grade, and now im a freshman and were not really friends anymore, and last year she gave me her cheer sweatshirt, so do i give it back or keep it?

I'd keep it. This is a common occurrence. I think one day soon you'll be friends again. Just give it some time. You might want to make the first move. Give her a call on the weekend or something. It's not always cool to hang with freshmen...I know that's not nice, but believe me, when you're 10th grade and up, you'll see exactly what I mean.

Polite people would give it to her, but if it was really nice they would keep it and pretend they never had it. But if you don't like, her or you hate her more then anything throw it out, so its on your mind.
The right thing to do is give it back so maybe she will be more of your friend again. Don't keep it! Don't discard it! GIVE IT BACK!!!!!!

If it was a gift for you to keep and you want to keep then by all means do so, but if it was a loaner or you just don't think you will ever wear it just ask her if she wants it back. Just in case it has sentimental value to her.

if you are no longer friends and it does not hold sentimental value to you ask her if she wants it back if she says no, and you do not want it just donate it to a thrift shop or something. Someone will want/need it
