Earthworms 'till' the soil for you at no cost! they are friends of plants! But if you want to get rid of them, for some reason, try a simple trick: put some tobacco in water, soak, keep for some time, and then sprinkle the water in your garden. All worms should pack and leave!

That's like saying " I have free workers that improve everything they touch and turn waste into plant food, aerate and do much of my work for me. How do I kill them because they are ugly?" Rethink this. You could do it but I'm spending time and money to get my soil better so that I will have earthworms.

i dont know why youd want to, they do very good things for the earth, they eat the detritis (leaves and other junk) and spit out plant nutrients into the soil, your nursery will do well to have them.

as for getting rid of them i dont know of anything that would deter them that wouldnt kill your plants

I hate them too they are yucky and give me the shivers! I don't know how you would get rid of them. Because even if you remove all of the adult worms I'm sure there are still some teeny tiny ones left in the soil. YUCK!

right this is an "earth-friendly" thought from mom Earth magazine. Sink wine bottles into their tunnels...open finally end up. Fill the bottles to distinctive stages with water. The wind blowing around the open ends motives harmonic sounds that scare away the moles.

Why would you want to? Worms condition the soil and are a great indicator that your garden is healthy.
