Well it could be that I love to hate you! But then again,there being such a fine line between the two emotions it might be the latter!

A love/hate relationship is a very difficult relationship to be in. You are balancing two opposite components - love vs. hate. If the hate begins to overshadow the love, then it is time to move away from that relationship and get off of the emotional seesaw.

I know from first hand ok. What makes them "work" is that when the times are bad you keep thinking they will get better (like at the biggining) and the short breaks when times are good you remember bad times and turn nasty again. It is so hard to get out, it is like a spiral that traps you.

a love/hate relationship has alot of passion in it-and love and passion have a close correlation. as long as it is not dysfunctional and abusive, then it can work.

it works . my man works night shifts n it works great , i hardly see him n when i do we appreciate it more. but if we r stuck together too long then we argue like mad ! absence makes the heart grow fonder.
