Alright anyone rember old Mtv kicked A played alot of good rock music. ( my opinion)
Now they have become the gay sympthetic channel they have so many shows now meant for girls and gays and really trying hard to get gay people on and so many reality shows please go back to being what your name suggests
Now they just play pop single artist like jessica simpson britney Spears and i hate pop its sucks ( my opinion) If they do play Rock its always some mainstream gay stuff such as Fall out Boy Panic at the Disco and My Chemical Romance

MTV hasn't been a music channel for the past 10 years . I loved it when it first came out . My kids would sit and do their home work and listen to the TV . I was able to do house work and cook , and not be bored , it was a great idea . Now it is nothing but garbage .

When i watch MTV all i see are shows saying how great MTV is and its just reality shows now its so lame.
And yeah i remember about 10 yrs ago when Green Day first hit it big they played Longview and all these other awesome rock songs day in day out now all i see is videos with almost naked chicks dancing round some guy talking really fast to a beat its so stupid i dont even bother with MTV anymore and when they actually do decide to play music its on at like 1am coz im sure we're all gonna stay up for that.

No it's not. The Canadian one isn't, anyway. Every time I turn it on, there's either some reality show that doesn't even remotely revolve around any 'musician', or a bunch of people sitting around talking about matters, that as far as I can tell aren't even music related. I haven't seen any music videos.
But I think the music channels adhere to what they think the population wants, and what the music executives want them to hear.

well, i was sort of with you until you bashed fall out boy, panic and mcr. i think they should go back to playing music, rock music, but that depends on your "definition" of rock music, because according to you, the stuff i like is mainstream gay.

Now they have MTV2 that they say is supposed to be mostly music. I think the old MTV was the best. It does stand for Music Television right?

MTV really has changed cos now all they show is American shows that u really don't want to watch. I prefer to watch the hits of VH1
