We had a Beta max VCR & an old TI 994a computer with no disk deive just a tape recorder to upload programs

You are totally right, I searched there whole country for someone who can transfer a betamax tape to a DVD and still could not find any. ( betamax videos are ages ago)

And laser disc's were going to be the newest and greatest thing. Everyone laughed at cassette decks and had an 8 track. Oh yeah and cordless phones...........
