That your proud of him for having the guts to tell you, and that you love him as a friend and that you will always be there for him no matter what! He's been brave to tell you and he needs your love and support now more than ever especially through this difficult time!

Why say anything at all? If you are a true friend of his, then you'll accept him no matter what so when a friend tells you they are gay make sure you let them know that if they need a shoulder to lean on, that yours is there for them.

That it is his business and his choice and that it makes no differnce whatsoever in your relationship with him. If however you do feel bad and find it difficult to continue seeing him in the same way as before then maybe you should think about your friendship. My youngest son has just come out, even though I found it a shock I think I always knew deep down. I have met many of his firends and they are greatest most warm and loving people.

Dont say anything, just listen I had the same happen to me a few years ago, and at the time really didnt know how to deal with it. All you can do is be there and say you are still bezzie mates despite his sexuality.

I don't understand, why do you care? were you secretly hoping for a romance with this friend? If not tell him congratulations then throw him a coming out party. Just say that's nice.

This is exactly what happened to me, one of my best friends told me that she was lesbian and had a girlfriend of 1 month (who i later met and shes awesome!), it was alot to take in at first i was stunned, but i didnt let her know that *i was freaking out* (id never had a lesbian friend before! i didnt know what to say!) i stayed calm about it and told her that i didnt care as long as she was happy i was happy and id be there for her and that it changed nothing except i liked guys and she liked girls, i mean she was after all my best friend i couldnt turn my back on her because i know that she would of never done that to me. You should be happy for your best friend, it takes alot to come out of the closet, and even more so, he trust you enough to tell you.

Be happy and support him, like he would do for you.

that you love him for him ,, not becuase of who he sleeps with.

if you have a problem with homosexual ppl explain that to him but that you don't like his choice of lifestyle but he's still your best friend and as long as you can keep it nuetral then you will always be there for him.

( ps gay guys make the best friends cuz they are soo less likely to judge you)

Just say "i always thought you were"

That's what i said to mine after knowing him for nearly 20yrs and hasn't made a diffrence to our friendship.

It's one of the most difficult things ever so try and make it as easy on the guy as possible.

If he is your best friend, how could you not have known? If you didn't well, why should you do or say anything other than, ok, and continue being friends.
