Hello, Try this: use white eyeliner! Yep that's right, white eyeliner!! Just apply it to the skin above the bottom lashes, this makes your eyes pop and look bigger! Try it, it really works! Also, this is a good tip for when you look and feel tired; just apply the white eyeliner and no one will ever know you missed those hours of sleep!

Because everyone is different (and we should rejoice in those differences!), your best bet (as an ex-cosmetic girl) is to get a nice big colour block of eye shadows, great for playing with and you can get some cheap ones, with all the colours you might ever want to wear. Take an evening off, armed with eye-make up remover & loads of cottonwool & plonk in front of a mirror with the drink of your choice *in moderation or you might end up looking like an extra from a horror flick* and figure out what works best for you! As a rough guide, browns work best with blue eyes, blues and purples with brown eyes, but if skilfully applied, the sky's the limit. You know how you want to look, so play until you find something you like. Do yourself a favour & to avoid confusion, jot it down when you find something you like, ie draw a rough piccie of an eye & eyebrows & write what you put where. Or make a slumber party of it with a good, honest friend (you're never too old for a slumber party!). If all else fails, most make-up counters offer free make-overs, you're usually under no obligation to purchase, don't let them bully you & don't lose heart if you don't like your new look, just go to a different counter or consultant next time around and try again! Good luck!

Try some of the shimmer shades that are on the market. Rimmel makes this nice eye shimmer dust in awesome colors, just find the ones that compliment your eyes. If your eyes are brown, use a lot of lighter color pastels with a darker color in the eye crease. Try accenting your eyes with eye liner (top & bottom - and I actually use eyeliner inside the lower eyelid even though you probably shouldn't). You can also try Revlons individual eye lashes. I don't recommend the entire fake eyelash, just little sparse ones here and there mostly on the outter corners. Gives a little flair to your eyes. They even have some that have little jewels in them. Good luck, let us know your results.

As you say you are not too artistic, a trip to have your eyebrows done at the salon is a nice treat and makes a bit difference to your eyes, then maybe try some highlighting powder along your brow bone, to give a subtle change.

I think you should look at changing your colour every now and then...thats what i do. Depending on where your going a nice brown can look really sexy over the lower lid and then in the crease make it a bit darker by blending black into it and at the corners of your eyes to make them stand out. rather than using pencil use a small brush and use powder it stays on longer. for a fresh look or to look more awake use a lighter shade all over the bottom lid.

I personally like the smoky eyes look which makes your eyes look bigger and applying mascara and eyeliner and using eyelash curlers just adds to the bolder look.
To get the smoky eyes look you apply dark greyish colour near your top lashed then blend it upwards and outwards.. then you get a lighter one and apply that to your brow line.. it looks fab! and thn put on loads of mascara and eyeliner and then curl your eyelashes.. looks great! I found this website also for you to look at explains in more detail how to do it. Enjoy! :) x

Okay Ill start with eye shadow first.
Green eyes- Purple will make your green brighter and really let them show!
Brown eyes- To make brown eyes brighter use blues to let them show!
Blue eyes- Use browns and dark browns to pop these out!
For all eye colors Natural looks great on all of them! Browns, earth toned colors work wonders!
Mascara
If you are a red head or blonde- Brown and black brown looks best.
If you are a brunett or have very dark colored hair- Black is the best color!
