Generally, do you think that men or women are more likely to maintain friendships with childhood friends throughout adulthood?

As I put in the question, I am asking GENERALLY. I know that every individual situation is different. I'm just wondering, based on the people that you know, if you think men or women are better at maintaining long friendships with childhood friends.

i think ladies are better at keeping in touch with old friends, cause they are alot more loving then guys and tend to hold friendship more dear

It all depends on the person. some women maintain friendships for life and so do some men. I personally believe men maintain friendships with childhood friends, because women get very busy with taking care of the child and the home, etc.

Of course. You've known the person for so long it's almost like family. There's an established trust. Families know each other. A history is formed. Even if you've never seen your childhood friend in YEARS, the day you meet up again, it's as if it was yesterday.

Of course, over time, things change and circumstances come into play and may never see that person again, but a thought never crosses that persons mind and will always remember. In some strange way, that frienship still exist.

As a woman I can only speak for myself. I've maintained friendships with people I knew in childhood. Men that I know have not done this.
