The only positive thing about the feeling of anger is the desire to take responsibility, to take action. This is also a key function of emotions like enthusiasm. Enthusiasm starts by identifying the ultimate purpose of one's efforts. When a plan turns out to be unworkable, this sense of purpose will suggest alternatives, thus transforming a failure into a setback. Also, anger and enthusiasm are both "contagious" but enthusiasm tends to bring people together. In sum, enthusiasm is better than anger because it is more sustainable and because it naturally wins people over. It's easy to see why Ralph Waldo Emmerson said, "Enthusiasm is the engine of success."

No, it is not the most important emotion. In fact, if you don't use anger correctly, it can be your down fall.

Anger can signal several things. If we are usually angry, we have an anger addiction. If we are angry at the proper times for the right reasons, then we are on the right track. Anger can signal that we are being dealt with unfairly, disrespected, unappreciated or ignored. It tips us off to pay attention to what is happening so we can remedy the situation. That means dealing with it in a mature and constructive way.

Regarding success, what you need is something quite different than anger. You need ambition, skills, talent, knowledge, social finess and a willingness to work hard to see your dream realized. Probably the most important thing is knowing what you are here to do on this earth in your time alloted. The only way to truly know that? Seeking God's advice.

Definitely not, anger and any other emotions passes. So how can it become the most important factor to success. Emotions can generate us to do something, but by itself, it doesn't guarantee sucess.

It is LOVE. Love is an emotion but if it is true it leads to a commitment. Just like marriage, it becomes successful once the couple are committed to each other.

In the usual meaning of the word success (like business) then i would say no. Cold detachment, the absence of emotion which is an emotion in itself seems to be the greatest one. It displays a skill of ruthlessly doing the job and getting it right without any moral qualms and then when in a position of success it shows a ferocious singlemindedness not to mess with the man! If you want to be successful fast then be feared and cold, if you want to be successful slowly but well then be respected and warm. I suggest you read Machiavelli's The Prince, alot of it is about this kind of thing. Its good reading.

Female bosses seem to think so. This is the major reason that women cannot break the "glass" ceiling they always complain about. Give a woman CEO authority and she becomes meamer than a bear protecting a cub. Nastier than a mountain lion trying to stop a hunter from getting the kittens. Oh - you get the point. Women need anger management.

The most important emotion when it comes to success is exuberance.

You must work for some mean people. Of course it's not. Losing your cool is the best way to lose respect. If you lose respect, you can't very well become successful now, can you?
