Compared to the other answers you've received so far, mine will be a little different. I love both my parents, but I would not want them to live with me. Not that I'm trying to be mean, but both my parents ruled the house by strict measures and even though I'm in my 30's now, they still try to push me around. Therefore, I would not like to have them live with me, nor would I enjoy their never ending nitpicking about me, my children, my step-children, my hubby or my house / car / laundry / etc.

I love my parents but don't really like them staying over it's just hard on me. I never feel like my house is clean enough or that my kids behave well enough. They also smoke ,they do so outside I just hate them doing it , not to mention they sleep with the t.v. on and cough all night.

I would be a little flattered,, but since we are the only children in this part of the country when they come it's to see us ONLY and I hate it,, I hate everyone being fake to each other and that's what it always feels like.

The best winter of my life was when my parents came to my family's farm in the country and stayed for months in their RV in the back yard. I savored them.

Some cultures value having multiple generations living in one home. The American culture is not one of them. However, if they are taking care of grandkids, that is a big help.

It should be a blessing for they choose to be with you. It should also mean a lot to you. So yes I would love to have my parents spend time with my kids, time is to short. Even if it means giving up my bed so they had a place to sleep.

Hi.
I would love that. Only lucky people get the chance to take care of their parents.

It's not a problem as long as they don't try to take over and tell me what to do in my house. If they try that, then we're going to have us a problem and I will speak my mind.

Of course as long as they do not interfer with my business when they are not invited...Whlist they are with me, i will hear and learn from them life experiences and therefore avoid such mistakes.
Enjoy them while they are still alive. You don't get to have such great opportunity,
