According to the other Madhaahib, Maaliki, Shaafi’ee and Hanbaliy, Prawns and Shrimps are permissible. You should follow the ruling of whichever Madhab you belong to.

The correct spelling is "prawns" and yes, they are halal food.

yes they are halal...crabs as well...but squid, octopus, n catfish..we cant
