Why not, most of the nuns I know are virgins. The live in cloisters and give their life to God. Not everybody needs sex. Sex is overrated.

Yes anyone can if they so desire. However, no one in this world is without defect. All that you have listed are humans... all sinners not perfect. Only perfect person I ever heard of was Jesus.

They can surely hold it but doesn't mean they never did in the past! One doesn't start his spiritual journey to enlightenment at the age of 15!

It's up to the individual. If the person chooses to not engage in sexual relations for the whole of his/her life, then why not!
