Amending the Constitution isn't a presidential power.

I don't think polygamists are in his base. And the reason would be you can't amend the constitution with a bill for a 10th of a 10th of a percent of america. That would be a job for local government, a bill like that would need to have support from most states in the union, and I don't think anyone wants to bring something like that to the forefront.

It is already ILLEGAL, and their is no threat to it becoming LEGAL. Also if the Constitution was Amended to say "Marriage is a Union between a man and a woman" then it WOULD eliminate the threat of making Polygamy legal.

Probably because he doesn't have the power to do so. Perhaps you should amend whatever you read to include some library books on how our government works, or would having them around your house hurt your base?
