I think he was let go. He's too outspoken. He should have never said those things about Brooke Shields. He doesn't know what she was feeling and he's not a doctor. His crazy couch jumping antics on Oprah and calling Matt Lauer Glib. Insisting that Katie Holmes not have medication when she had the baby. I think he's a nut.

I agree that he was given the choice, quit or be fired. I mean his movies are not doing as well as before he went "crazy" His biggest problem is he thinks he's to big a star. He didn't realize that the public is fickle and if he acts that way people will think he is crazy and stop going to see his movies. I know his comments about depression have caused me not to even rent his movies. Something I would have definitely done before. I liked him, thought he was talented and enjoyed his movies. But now...
I can't remember his ex's name right now, but wasn't she smart to get out before he went to crazy.

Tom Cruise, one of the world's biggest movie stars, was fired from Paramount because maybe Paramount did not approve of his erratic behavior that he performed on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in May of 2005. Also, I am pretty sure that there has to be a better explanation than that.

I heard on the news this morning that Paramount did not resign a contract with Tom due to the fact that he has said things they don't agree with and he is too controversial at the present time. He has turned into a real NUT!

Why would Paramount say he was fired???

They would just be asking for Tom to sue them.

Let's face it Tom has come bottom in the "Famous people who you'd like to be mates with" poll and top of the most annoying famous person poll.

If you're going to spend millions on someone, would you spend it on someone who's not liked that much?

Paramount Pictures has ended it's 14-year relationship with Tom Cruise's production company. Paramount's chairman said, "As much as we like him personally, we thought it was wrong to renew his deal...His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount." What is he TALKING about?? Unacceptable conduct? Tom Cruise??? Huh.

All the news channels say he was fired, but he says he cut the cords loose.
Either way, if I were Paramount, I'd dump him, too.

My question is why should I care? I'm too busy raising my family to waste my time worrying about what some celebrity does.

he was fired, but it probably wasnt about the crazy stuff. that was over a year ago. he probably piised them off with something else, or started to demand too much.

I reckon he was fired and went straight into hard core denial.
