We have a volunteer army. Men and women enlist as defenders of the American way of life and our interests abroad. Why should 2600 of them have been killed executing a war for Bush's Oil Cravings.

Yes, those men and women do volunteer to join our military. They are suppose to serve our country no matter what. I personally dont believe they should have to die because Bush is greedy for oil. BUT the chose to join our military and serve this country whether we do it the right way or the wrong way. Its nothing anyone can do about it. When it comes to money, politics, military, etc....morals are no issue.

Most of the people we are fighting there are not from Iraq, but militants from other countries. Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, etc. etc. Some are the deposed Bathist party

To me it depends what they signed up for. I sympathise with those who enlisted for college funding, and those that enlisted before the war. But to the gung ho types that wanted to head to Iraq "to fight for freedom", I guess it's what they wanted, so why feel bad?

I don't want to be cruel , but those who went knew what could happen. Besides, before they left they realized that they could kill civilians, and that didn't stop them either.
