"Do you want a cup of coffee?" I found out it is a trick question they ask you to see how serious you are or if you want to socialize. I am very naive...I thought they were being nice. I accepted it, thinking it would help me to relax. I didn't get the job because of it. Isn't that terrible?

As an (ex) interviewer I used to pride myself on asking questions that revealed the true nature of people. Forget all the competency stuff, you can usually work out if someone can do the job or not and whether they lied on their CV etc. By the time you're at interview (unless it's a local government role and they are obliged to interview you because you've got ticks in specific boxes), the company has already decided you can probably do the job and wants some extra detail.
The role I used to interview for was a high-pressure job which frequently included dealing with angry directors. By way of testing candidates adaptation and handling themselves under pressure, I used to ask questions like:
"Have you any odd or anti-social habits which we should be aware of prior to our deciding on whether or not to give you the job". To which the answer was almost immaterial, but the way that the candidate responded told us a lot about how they would perform in the job.
I don't think it was my finest hour, but it was fun...

many years ago. I went for a promotion just after having a miscarriage and was asked "but what if you have an other pregnancy and have to go back in hospital?"
I asked the male interviewer what his wife might do and under the sex discrimination act should he be asking me this. I also pointed out that I was'nt planning another baby yet or loosing one when I did.. I resigned.

Hi i hate when they ask you
What attracted you to apply for this vacancie ? Is such a dumb question, obviously you have applied for it because you need money. and you have worked for your qualification to get the job thats why.
When i went to my first interveiw, the manager asked me this question and i repled.
'I have always wanted to work in this store because when i was little i loved watching the cashiers on the tills and i wanted to be like them'. I felt like a total idiot. Obviously i didnt get the job, what a suprise.

Do you plan to have children?
Whether or not I plan to have children is not important coz I view this aspect of my life as a personal one. I believe when the moment arrive, it will not affect my career in any way possible other than the obvious.

How would you describe the color orange to someone who is born blind?
Impossible! I'd just give him money for an eye surgery then show him what orange is after...
