I like this question - the way it was worded made me want to check it out and I never guessed it would be about cats!!
I have four cats and none of them have that feline tendency to go under cars, but years ago I had a black cat who used to do that! Good thing he was called "Loki", being named after a Scandinavian God must have added to his nine lives - otherwise he's have been flattened while still a kitten.
He had shiney black fur, and I didn't notice his back being oily - but he stank of petrol!!!

some cars undersides are oily some arent as oily
some cats backs touch the underside some dont

most cars don't leak oil
(plus my cat uses 'Clear Difference' by Estee Lauder)
(i don't have a cat, sorry, i have a car)
(no, it's not oily)
(unless you talking about the oil chamber)
(then- yes)
