Limit of Passengers per Form

An individual can, at one time, apply for a maximum of s ix passengers in one application form. However, if the same group of passengers requires onward/return journey reservation, an additional form for the same will also be accepted.

Bulk Booking

Passengers requiring reservation in excess of the above limit, may contact the controlling officers/supervisors of the concerned reservation office for permission to make bulk booking of berths in trains. Here is step by step guide to help in bulk booking of berths.

Step1 : Please submit a letter to authorised official giving details such as train number, date of journey, number of berths etc.

Step2 : Get the permission of the authorised Officials.

Step3 : Contact the bulk booking counter for purchase of tickets.

However, booking of bulk accommodation is subject to overall limits on trains as per extant rules.

Group Booking In Train

Nope. The only way you could get a discounted ticket is by using normal discount cards or procedures, the best is travelling off peak as a group of 4 where each person would then recieve a 50% discount (4 for 2), then 3 person group (3 for 2). From London to Brighton is a commuter service. The only other way you might possibly get a cheaper ticket than a Cheap Day Return or Single, is to purchase the Southern Rover Ticket off the Internet, this must be brought 7 days in advance and restricts you to travelling on Southern ONLY and when you could use the trains. Hope this helps

Group Booking In Indian Railways

2016-12-30 07:06:12 · answer #4 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Group Booking is of the following categories:-
1)For Students/Teachers of Authorised Educational Institutes- You need to make set of 2 letters addressed to your division's DRM-C(Divisional Rail Manager-Commercial). 1 set is for permission of group booking and the other for permission of concession tickets. these letters should have the journey details, train details and the total number of passengers. After getting permission from the DRM office, you need to go the railway reservation office for whch u get the permission. there u need to submit these docs and then from a separate counter marked for 'party booking', ur tickets will be issued.
2)For families or marriage parties or groups of adults - u need to again submit 1 set of application to DRM-C of ur rail division. The procedure is same as above and u get the permission from the DRM office and then from the rail reservation counter, u will get the group booking on full fare. In certain railway divisions, for a group less than 20 passengers, u can get the permission directly from the CRS (Chief Reservation Supervisor) of the Rail Reservation Center.

Not a smart idea. The internet is making agents redundant and the travel industry is at the top of the heap to suffer. If you're considering your future career I suggest you look elsewhere. Ian M
