Basically the same.
DNC; doctors scrape the entire uterine wall. If your doctor thinks you should have one, he'll tell you where and when. This IS NOT a procedure for an abortion clinic.
Abortion; docs only scrape where the fetus is to extract it.

a surgical procedure usually performed under local anesthesia in which the cervix is dilated and the endometrial lining of the uterus is scraped with a curet; performed to obtain tissue samples or to stop prolonged bleeding or to remove small tumors or to remove fragments of placenta after childbirth or miscarriage or as a method of abortion when pregnancy is no more than 8 weeks in length
It it's to remove tumors or fragments of placenta the you shouldn't have to pay anything, and it can be done in an office or hospital. If you're using it as a method of abortion.. standard abortion rates apply and it has to be done at a certified abortion clinic.

If you are not pregnant and are having a D&C done for health reasons, any ob/gyn should be able to do it for you. You do not need to go to an abortionist, and I certainly wouldn't advise it. Abortionists tend to be the "washouts" of the medical profession and often have been sued for malpractice, have had their licenses suspended at one time or another, etc.
If you are pregnant and are thinking about abortion, you really need to make sure you have all the facts. The people who are selling abortions aren't going to give you unbiased information. Take a look at:

D&C as defined below
an evacuation D&C is performed in a recently pregnant woman to remove tissue remaining in the womb.
a gynaecological D&C is part of the investigation of a woman who is experiencing heavy or irregular periods or vaginal bleeding after the menopause.
Abortion is totally different and involves killing.

I hope that you are not considering this for abortion. I think that if you are thinking of abortion please think again. . a baby is a human from conception. Just think right now you could have life growing inside you. A baby with eyes, to look at you lovingly, arms to hug you and a mouth to tell you that they love you. just a thought.

D & C's aren't only for pregnant women. I had to have one because I had polyps on my uterine wall that were extemely painful. Normally, the docs do them for medical reasons....polyps or miscarriage. I certainly hope you aren't considering abortion. But if you are, it's your choice.
I wish you the best.
