My reason for doing this is that I want to add programs to my Imac which is basically messed up. I wanted to add financial programs and also games to it as well as anti virus and anti spyware as well as whatever else I can find. Not sure if I can download onto my windows laptop cause I know its not compatible with mac software.. but all Im doing is using it as a launch area so I can get the programs onto my MP3...

I found all these cool downloadble freeware programs and Im hoping to get my iMac better than new.. oh ya the iMac was bought in 2000.

Yeah, you can. A file is just a collection of 0s and 1s and you can transfer from Mac to PC, and the file stays the same. The only difference is the platform on which you open the files.

Yes, techinically u can do that as long as u dont try to run those mac files on windows system. But there r better and more sophisticated ways of doing it.
