Rib Cage Pain?

Question

Has anyone in early pregnancy experienced rib cage pain in either sides? Like a twinge every now and then - sometimes in the left and sometimes in the right.

They are like growing pains - thats how they feel

MAKE SURE YOU GO TO YOUR DOCTOR. IT COULD BE A SYMPTOM BEFORE SHINGLES STARTS. YOU GET A SHARP PAIN RUNNING FROM YOU BACK ACROSS YOUR RIBS.

Yes. It's usually either a dull pain, or a sharp, short pain. It's never been a long, severe pain.

You'll feel lots of this stuff, all over, as the pregnancy progresses. Lots of things have to move and stretch and scrunch up to make room for the baby.

But I've always thought that the more minor adjustments your body makes early, and along the way, the more comfortable you'll be at the end.

it really wasn't that painful to me. i was expecting it to be but i found that down by my 'love handles' was worse and up on my ribs wasn't bad. it did start to sting a lil towards the end only cuz it was a large piece that took a few hours and he had to go over some of the same parts again so it was already raw but that's about it. but i think i have a pretty high tolerance to pain anyways and of course everyone is different...but yours shouldn't take that long so it should be over before you know it!

i have pain when I sit down . The pain comes from the last bone of my spinnal ribs. It started when I am a few months into pregnancy , gone totally once the baby delivered.

All sorts of unusual / never happened before pain here & there during pregnancy , gone once delivered. I endured .

Don't worry , God is fair , you suffer now, your joy will be full once you see your baby . Wish you luck.

u can get pains anywhere when u r pregnant.i am now 9 months pregnant due tomorrow!in the early stages i had awful pains in my hips but went away soon after.it might be just a nerve.if the pain isnt constant and bearable i wounldnt worry.but if the pain is constantly there and u r worried just ring ur doctor it will put ur mind at ease.good luck.

Yes i did and you need to tell your doctor about it, it could be nothing but growing pains but there very well could be something else wrong, my sister had them pains and she found out she has a hernia and she is fixing to give birth in 2 months, just ask your doctor if you are too concerned!!

Seriously? You have that too? for me it feels like my insides are pushing up into my ribcage. To relieve it, i stuck out my stomachfor a bit, and then after that, my middle was two inches bigger. (6 weeks) IT kind of felt like i was hungry at the same time, but I'm always hungry now adays, so I who knows,

I had them in both pregencies. I collapsed in the grocery store one day becasue they hurt so bad but the doctor said they were a normal part of pregency and everthing was fine. I had two very healty children!

when i was 5 or 6 weeks i started getting them but they werent like growing pains they were like sharp pains like someone was shanking me with a knife. if its anything like that they are still with me every once in a while but not as often
