Chinese and Japanese were classically written right to left, and top to bottom- the page was a series of vertical lines of script instead of horizontal. I think the same applies for Korean, but I'm not sure.

In the modern day, these scripts are still written using the classical format, but in some texts, such as magazines, newspapers or instruction booklets, they will follow the Western system, left to right.

This question depends on where you are sitting at the time of writing. I sometimes write north to south or west to east. My computer keyboard means that at the moment I am writing south-west to north-east.
Arabic and Hebrew are written from right to left, if that's what you meant.

No, there are several. And there are also languages written north to south - although I haven't heard of any language being written south to north.

Who cares!
All I care about is my language: English!
Which is the Official Language of America!
So, if you come to America you better be using it!
Because when you come to America: you adapt to us - not us adapt to you!
After all, you chose to come here on your own free will!
We didn't invite you!
