Very oily! Very acne-prone! I need a make-up base that covers, is oil-free, won't cause breakouts, that stays in place. i've yet to find the perfect base for my skin. I was just looking for any suggestions. Thanks

Use: Bare Escentuals! It is a powder form and covers everything! It may be a bit expensive, but well worth it! It also helps prevent breakouts! You can go to: http://www.sephora.com/ and then go to the right side of the screen under shop by brand and select Bare Escentuals, it will tell you everything about it! Also another good base that is almost the exact same is: Everyday Minerals. This is cheaper and you can also get a free sample! For this go to: http://www.everydayminerals.com/
Hope this helps!

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

I would recommend bare minerals.I really love this makeup. I used to have problems with cake and liquid foundations where the area around my nose would always get flaky and gross after applying the makeup even when I used moisturizer first! Bare Minerals does not flake like that on me.
I recommend buying the $65 (or whatever the cost is where you buy it) starter kit. It comes with 2 foundations and warmth and mineral veil plus a few brushes. In my opinion, you can probably do without the Mineral Veil and Warmth (unless you love them) and just keep purchasing your preferred foundation color when your kit runs out. Also, the concealer brush is wonderful for applying eye shadow.

I was apprehensive about trying it out at first because of the cost, but now I'm glad I did. It's the only foundation I'll ever use again!

You can be sure that the makeup will fill in your blemish scars and its got great lasting power when i sweat or when its humid out. Your oily skin should be no match to this makeup!

Dermablend is the only thing I've found that has any real staying power. They're the most frequently recommended by dermatologists.

Another option would be Ben Nye BUT I can't swear that he has an oil-free product. His make-up is primarily for tv and film which means it stays put, but he has a very extensive and reasonably priced product line.

Also, I know you didn't ask, but I had terrible skin when I was younger: very oily, very acne prone. All I can say is: spend the money on a trip to a GOOD dermatologist. Antibiotics may be enough to ease your problems. But... I know a lot of people bash Accutane but as far as I'm concerned it's a miracle drug. It was the only thing that fixed my skin and it changed my life.
