It really depends where you live and a day is a really short time.
But if you were in NY I would suggest the thousand Islands region. It is absolutely beautiful and just accross the bridge is Canada.

You can go anywhere you want. As long as your bf is with you, you will surely enjoy the moment and have great fun. You can go to the beach. That's not a bad idea. Discuss this matter with your bf. Maybe he has got better plans. Or you may also think of something together. Have a nice time wherever you decide to go.

I think it would depend where you are from. How about just a day doing normal things. Hang out awhile, go out to eat and a movie. Walk by the beach etc.

If you can afford... COME to Dubai.... take a book in a 7 star hotel just for tea its enough coz the feel of the hotel is nice google for burj Al Arab hotel see it and if u are near dubai give it a try they are many places to see too
