Stellar Sea Lion, Rhinoceros & Hippopotamus etc.

First of all the word "jump" to be defined and differs in the animal world. Elephants cant jump due to its size and do you know that it can't climb too. You'll find that the animal lives only in the plains. Elephants are very good swimmers and in the plains there are no major blocks that requires jumping or climbing.
Again jumping, walking, running etc are all used by the animals depending on its hierarchy in the food chain, to escape from predators.
Basically big animals such as elephants dont have any predators once grown in size.

Each of those can jump (just a little), because they can jump into streams and such...
I believe the Scientific Community only has a dictate of how "far" a jump has to be...
But, they also take into account of structures, both bone and muscular, to determin if something can, or can not do a certain task.
Besides, why do elephants need to jump, eh? They didnt get that way, by doing broad jumps at the track... :) Let 'em eat in peace and stay away from them if they get thier dander up.
I wish you well..

of direction no longer. Sponges are animals. they can't bounce. Neither can jellyfish, starfish, snails, slugs, sloths, armadillos, corals, or worms. fairly, animals do no longer choose legs to bounce, through fact snakes can launch themselves with the help of elevating the front area of the physique and lunging forward. there's a species of snake universal through fact the flying snake, which fairly glides. it may launch itself from a branch intense up into the trees. This snake would desire to be waiting to bounce off a branch to waft effectively. "Chrysopelea is likewise universal decrease than its assigned hassle-free call "flying snake". ...Upon achieving the tip of a tree's branch, the snake maintains shifting until its tail dangles from the dep.'s end. It then makes a J-shape bend, leans forward to go with the point of inclination it needs to trip to regulate its flight direction, besides as choosing a needed touchdown area. as quickly because it comes to a decision on a trip spot, it propels itself with the help of thrusting its physique up and far flung from the tree, sucking in its abdomen, flaring out its ribs to coach its physique in a "pseudo concave wing" each and all the on an analogous time as making a persistent serpentine action of lateral undulation parallel to the floor to stabilise its direction in midair with a view to land effectively."

Snails?
They might be the only *mammals* that can't jump, but there are plenty of other non-jumping fauna.

You are RIGHT. Elephants have 4 knees whereas the other animals don't. Therefore they cannot jump. I don't know why because we have two legs and two knees but.......... that's what I've been told.
