PER BABE RUTH :
NON MI ASPETTAVO UNA REAZIONE COSI' DA UNO COME TE. MI SEMBRA CHE TUTTI ABBIANO RISPOSTO TRANQUILLAMENTE A QUESTA DOMANDA E IN COMPLETO ACCORDO CON ME. NON HAI VISTO LE DOMANDE CHE FANNO CONTRO NOI ITALIANI? E POI, SE GUARDI BENE ANCHE LE TUE DOMANDE NON SI DISCOSTANO POI DI TANTO....PER QUANTO RIGUARDA L'ITALIANO IO NON SARO' MANZONI MA NEMMENO TE, TE LO POSSO ASSICURARE...COSA PROPONI DI FARE?

Yes, even the French coach was regreting that he didn't switch Zidane out earlier enough ... if he did, none of this would happen, and Zidane could've retire happily and honorably with no regret.

Yeah, Zidane's career ended pretty miserably.
But pretty spectacularly as well. Very few people get to play the last game of their career in a world cup final, score an audacious penalty kick, and then get sent off for headbutting an *-hole like Marco Materazzi.
Even though his last action was infamous, it's not sufficient to detract from his legend. How is Zidane any worse than Maradona with his inveterate drug habit or George Best with his booze addiction or Platini with his pettiness? Does a headbutt make him less of a role model than drug-users and drunks and small-minded men?
It's kind of stupid to treat Zidane as a leper because he has a problem with managing his anger. The world will only be justified in condemning Zidane if it conveniently chooses to forget that he is just a man, not a god.

Not in my neck of the woods, and by my assessment he has gained well deserved sympathy throughtout the world and also from those who prior to the WC didn't know him ( yes, those people exist). If he has lost some votes then it would rather be in the non-football world.
His popularity is only second after Charles de Gaulle. Whoa...that's some accomplishment.

I think not, he has gotten a lot of praise still from being an elegant (and excellent) player for his entire career. He is much better off than most of us (he is paid very very well!). How can he be miserable now if he can have more time for himself and his family with the money to spend?
I think you would want to be in his shoes if given the chance...I would, even for a day!

He's a legend, to have played in Calcio for long without major injury. His action will never drown his exploits.

Only on the basis of his attitude in last match we should not think its a miserable end to his career. We should also think what a player he was his patience was tested in last game of his life. Any body will be disturbed if opponent talks something nonsense. Hats off to you Zidane for your excellent sportsmanship and also exhibiting highest degree of Patience untill the last match of your football career.
