Man is a rational animal who always looses his temper when called upon to act in accordance with the dictates of reason. You loose your temper when you tend to be unreasonable.

It is a sign of frustration. When the expectations fail, you normally react in two ways. You throw tantrum or if you are weak hearted, you cry. Anger and cry are two sides of the same coin. This is the behaviour of an individual. At the community level, the frustration is given vent to in violent ways. Riots, terrorism are but the expressions of anger by a frustrated group or a sub-national group.

What remedy?

Let some one give you what you expected from him and let you be appeased. But, that is never a healthy solution. You become a pampered person. You develop a tendency to black mail, every time you need some thing from others. You will be hated without exception by all. There is every possibility that you turn out to be a criminal. The best way to deal with your anger is not by getting appeased. Develop a right attitude to life. Life is a game. You must realise that not all that you desire are likely to materialise. Accept the negative results, as part of the process of human effort. Acceptance is the key to a satisfying life; and not success. Success in succession really satiates. Success that comes after much failure, frustration and bitterness tastes sweeter.
