According to the law of football, Zidane deserve to be sent off alone... but if we talk about the law of manners i think the majority of the players in the world will be sent off so many times because football is full of charge and frictions and football players are not angels ...

Finally , Materazzi is a bastard and deserve to be shot in a public square...

I think that, based on the information available to the referee at the time, the sending off of Zidane alone was fair. The ref would only have been justified in booking Materazzi if he (the ref) had heard him insult Zidane or if he (the ref) was informed by one of the other officials that Materazzi provoked Zidane. It's a shame, though.

no,not fair at all..football is a beautiful game which have to be played fair and square..if you send off Zidane for headbutting Materazzi, then why can't Materazzi be sent off too for trash-talking?besides,because of his bad words towards Zidane,he is headbutted as a result..clearly he is the cause of Zidane's action..and it serves him right..Materazzi was lucky enough that Zidane only headbutted him and not cause any terrible or bleeding injuries..I would do worse than just a headbutt if i were Zidane..

well...at that time they didn't know that Materazzi said something to him. They only saw Zidane's headbutt. But if they knew earlier what Materazzi said, both of them would have got a red card.

He defintely deserved to be sent off. Everybody that play a team sport can tell you how many times you heard insults from the opposition. But nevertheless you do not go around using your head to hit each and every one that insult you.
He is also not new to this kind of acts: do you remember the cold blood head-butt he gave in champions league in 2000? And when he stamped the Saudi Arabian player in 1998 world cup.
he is a genius with a ball, a pleasure to the eyes, but he is a villain when the ball is not in his feet.

Being popular is no excuse for such a behavior. He taught the millions of young people to be intolerance in face of a conflict. He behaved like a hyperactive five years old child.Must have a check for ADHD.

No, I dont think Zidane should have been sent of alone. true what he did definetely deserved a red card but they should have also red-carded 'THE CHEATERAZZI'.

Well, they both got fined, and I think [I can't really remember] but I think they both got some sort of suspension.

ARE YOU JOKING ?
NOBODY HAS NEVER BEEN SENT OFF FOR INSULTING.
THIS WAY MATCHES COULD FINISH, 5 AGAINST 5.
