I have pulled the radiator out of my car because i am putting a new engine in it. and i heard that after you have pulled it out that you need to plug it and fill it with water. Is This true?

Your best bet (if its going to be a while before it goes back in) is to fill it w/ a water and anti-freeze mixture (50/50) One thing many people overlook is the corrosion inhibitors in the anti-freeze. Corrosion can occour inside as well as outside the radiator. That is why they are painted. If its only going to be a short while (a week give or take) you really don't need to worry about it.

This one is kind of a no brainer... When you buy a new radiator, does it come filled with water? No. Even if it were a cast iron radiator, the length of time it takes a competent mechanic to rebuild an engine wouldn't allow a significant amount of rust to build up with the corrosion inhibitors already present in antifreeze/water mixtures.

I think you have gotten some bad information. It would be hard to keep water in a radiator when it is out of a car unless you had/made some type of caps for the hose connections and I can think of no reason why this would be beneficial.

If You Have To The Yes, If You Don't Have Anti-Freeze, Other Wise Car Will Overheat Quick, Since Temps Are So High To Start With.

No. If it was cast iron, maybe to prevent rust, but it isn't.
