Since Bush has more or less admitted he erred on Iraq. Mr Blair followed him blindly on Iraq. With the truth out, Blair is under fire. But still I rate Blair to be more efficient a politician.

Because he follows George Bush's lead like a puppy following its owner. Gives the impression (probably right) that UK is either afraid to go against America, or too stupid to formulate its own policies.

It is exactly because he is Bush´s friend. It was first and foremost the Iraqi quagmire that has dragged down Tony´s numbers. Apparently, no amount of charisma can protect you from bad decisions...
