Al Gore's family has EXTENSIVE oil ties. Also Under Jimmy Carter, Gas went through the roof, and adjusting for inflation, the historical high during his administration was almost as high as the historical high during Bush's. And note that Carter did not have increased demand from developing nations to bump the price up that little extra.

Blaming Bush to be an "oilman" is silly and shortsighted, if you think oil is going to magically drop back to $35.00 a barrel after his administration you've lost your mind. Especially with so many international pressures bidding up the price for oil, new refining facilities (whose construction had previously been blocked by environmentalists) will ease the price as they are constructed and come online because of their capacity to churn out more gas from crude.

Wait until it's $10.30 / gallon. Happy Days Are Here Again! God Bless America! Pass the Plate and Praise God! Ya gotta love Republicans. Gosh, if I'd known it would be this easy to lead the feeble-minded by their noses, I might have just jumped in there ahead of the Bush's. Naw, I couldn't have financed Hitler like they did.

If my understanding is correct, American dependence on foreign oil is only, like, 27% of what we depend on for domestic oil. The rise in gas prices is only from the gas moguls' being greedy bastards and very conveniently using the president as a scapegoat.

Your question is a fallacy. It assume that the price of gas
has to do with wether GB is doing a good job as president.
This is not a correct line of thought since

1) it has nothing to do wit wether he is doing a good job

2) he has control on the oil prices >He has some but
very little.

Dont know if you asked this question this way on purpose or
not but if you didnt you might want to think about your question and if you did read yhe above staement
